There are many things to consider when purchasing a home. Some of the home-buying steps include:

Other agents may simply set up an automatic search and hope for the best.  MooreJensen realizes that it takes more than that.  Searching for a home is time consuming, and the searches are only as good as the information entered by the listing agents. When information is listed incorrectly in the MLS, potential homes are missed by the auto searches.  That is why MooreJensen takes the time to manually search for homes in addition to setting up auto searches.  As an example, a lot of agents will “copy” a listing from a previous listing so they don’t have to manually input all of the data/information of a home.  However, certain criteria, for example schools/school districts, may change from time to time when districts update their maps and borders.  Searching on school districts is a common field criteria selection, and if an agent copies the information from an old listing containing the wrong school district information (because since the old listing, the school information has been updated), the home is now one that is not captured on the auto search.  That could be your dream home being sold to someone else!
